If you are looking for an all-around fantastic dog, then look no further, because Chardonnay is just that! She is approx. 4 years old and is everything a dog should be – happy, confident, fun, playful, silly, friendly, smart, attentive and eager to please. And as you can see from her photos, she is absolutely stunning! Everyone who meets her falls in love with her and remarks that she might be one of the happiest, most outgoing dogs they’ve ever met. We’ve never seen a dog play bow more than her. In fact, Chardonnay is probably one of the friendliest, most social dogs we have ever seen in our many years of rescue – this girl’s tail never stops wagging! Including during her training sessions, which she loves. Chard is a quick learner and is already doing great with training.

As you can see from her video, she loves the pool! https://youtu.be/-iUNkb7spug. She also LOVES car rides and is perfectly crate trained – in fact, she’s FANTASTIC in her crate! At night when her foster mom is watching TV or reading, Chard is happy to lounge around on her dog bed or will go into her crate on her own for a nap. She is so quiet in her crate and most mornings when it’s time to let her out, Chard is sound asleep, upside down in her crate!

Chard is a quiet dog that rarely, if ever barks. She is playful and active and loves playing with toys and romping around the yard. However inside the house, she’s a total couch potato. And once she got over the initial excitement of the other dogs in her foster home, she now walks well with them and is happy to trot alongside them. However due to her rambunctious behavior with other animals, we suggest that she be the only pet in the home. She is also very strong when walking on leash and would do best with a fenced yard.

Chardonnay did have a small mass removed that came back non-cancerous, however she will need to be monitored for any changes. The good news is, the vet said she is just fine for now – in fact, she’s doing great! Please note that the first step in our process is the adoption application found on our website www.midatlanticbullybuddies.org. Chardonnay is spayed, microchipped and vaccinated. Her adoption fee has been waived and is sponsored by a very generous donor.
