Hi, my name is Choco (because of my beautiful chocolate-dipped coat!) and I wanted to tell you a little bit about myself! I am approximately 2-3 years old and I weigh about 60 lbs. I used to live in a shelter, which was ok, but what I really wanted was a home of my own, with my own person and my own house and my own bed. Pretty soon, I left the shelter and moved into a foster home, which was great! My foster parents have helped me learn a lot of things here, like how to sleep in a crate and how to walk nicely on the leash and how to play fetch. I LOVE FETCH! It’s my favorite pastime! But still, what I really want is a home of my own, with my own person and my own house and my own bed. If I could imagine my perfect home, here’s what it would look like:

In my perfect home, it would be quiet and calm with not a lot going on, where me and my person could hang out and spend lots of time together. I love going for long sniffs around the block, or a nice evening jog, and then coming back to snuggle on the couch. In my perfect home, I would be the only dog so I could be my most relaxed and comfortable self. In my foster home, there are three other dogs and it’s just too much for me. I get nervous around them in the house and feel funny, especially when they bark or make loud noises. It’s scary! I also like to chase squirrels so I probably shouldn’t live with cats or other small furry things. I know this means that in my perfect home, I would be the only pet but honestly, how much more handsome could one home stand anyway?! In my perfect home there would be lots of fetch time. My foster dad plays fetch with me every morning and that’s my favorite time of day! I LOVE FETCH! It’s my favorite pastime! Most of all, in my perfect home, I would get to keep up with my training because I love it so much and I’m doing really well with it!

So now that you know a bit about me, what do you say? Can you be my new best friend? I promise to be your new best dog!

P.S. Check out the videos my foster mom made of me doing all my favorite things: giving hugs, going for a walk, and playing fetch!

Please note that the first step in our process is the adoption application which can be found on our website, www.midatlanticbullybuddies.org. Choco is neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. His adoption fee has been sponsored by a very generous donor.
