Big dog lovers: you will love this one! Mari is approx. 3 years old – not sure what she’s mixed with, perhaps some American Bulldog/Mastiff type? Whatever she is, she’s a BIG dog, just about 100 lbs. She is a very, very, VERY sweet, happy, playful, silly dog, but keep in mind, 100 lbs is a lot of dog. Therefore her adopter needs to be able bodied and experienced enough to walk, handle and manage a large, exuberant dog. Mari is doing great in her foster home with just about anything you can think of – housebreaking, crate training and overall manners in the house. She does very well with the cats in her foster home too. And after slow, gradual intros with the other dogs, she is doing well with them too! Mari was a bit excited and rambunctious around them first, but like with any dog, after a proper two-week shutdown (see our website: http://midatlanticbullybuddies.org/two-week-shutdown/), she is now doing great with them. She likes going for walks, but is very strong on leash, so again, will do best with an able-bodied and experienced adopter. Mari’s foster mom has fostered a ton of dogs over the years and reports that Mari is an all-around awesome dog, who will make some lucky adopter very happy. Please note that the first step in our process is the adoption application found on our website www.midatlanticbullybuddies.org. Mari is spayed, microchipped and vaccinated.
