We have no idea what Rocko is mixed with, but he’s a big, handsome boy, just under 80 lbs. He’s approx. 2 years old and while he likes going for walks and running around the yard, inside the house, he is usually content to chew his bones or lounge around. Oh, and one other thing – Rocko LOVES playing ball. In fact, his ball might be his favorite thing in the entire world. If anyone is looking for a fun dog to play fetch with, then Rocko is your guy!
Rocko does well with the other dogs in his foster home and while he likes cats, we’d suggest a home without cats, as he can be way too playful with them. He also does well in the car. Rocko is a very loyal, lovable guy who wants nothing more than to hang out with his person. He is so people-oriented that he has really excelled with his obedience training lessons. Rocko again is a big dog – and like most young dogs, he can get excited and a bit too wild at times. Which given his size, can be like a giant, overzealous puppy. However, with his training he has learned to curb his enthusiasm and is doing great with the commands he’s learned thus far. Whoever adopts him will obviously need to continue with this training to keep him on the right track.
Rocko came to us with torn ACLs but that’s all behind him now. The specialist that we use did surgery to correct both legs and Rocko is as good as new. Which is great news, as he can now go back to doing his favorite thing – fetch! Please note that the first step in our process is the adoption application found on our website www.midatlanticbullybuddies.org. Rocko is housebroken, crate trained, neutered, microchipped and vaccinated.
