SPECIAL COVID NOTICE: We realize that many of you are home from work right now and adopting a dog seems like a great idea. Which, it may be! Or may not. Please think about what your life will be like once things go back to “normal.” Will you have enough time each day to dedicate to a dog, based on the dog’s individual needs? If you are looking for a dog to socialize with kids, other dogs, etc., please do not submit an adoption application, as we do not recommend that for any dog. Nor do we recommend dog parks or dog daycare. Visit the resources section of our website for more info on those topics.

Please note that none of our foster homes have children, so we have no idea how any of our dogs would do living in a home with kids and/or if they would enjoy it.

As for Bella Roma:

Yes, Bella is adorable! She’s short and stocky, right around 50 lbs. And she is so very sweet and friendly. Bella Roma loves hanging out in the yard and would do best in a home with a fenced yard. She is nervous in new situations and needs time to adjust. She has made so much progress in her foster home and now that she feels safe and secure there, is a whole new dog. The outside world can still be a bit overwhelming for Bella at times, and while she likes going for walks, would do best in a neighborhood that is not super busy and full of activity.

Bella Roma has gone hiking with her foster parents and had a great time! But she is also happy to lounge around the yard and play. Bella has lived with cats in the past and is housebroken. Bella is estimated to be around three years old. If you have your heart set on adopting a dog who is two years old, so be it! She can be two. If you “need” a dog who is over four years old, she can be four. Bella is happy to go along with any birthday you make up for her; all she really wants is her very own forever home.

Please note that the first step in our process is the adoption application found on our website www.midatlanticbullybuddies.org. Bella Roma is spayed, microchipped and vaccinated.
