SPECIAL COVID NOTICE: We realize that many of you are home from work right now and adopting a dog seems like a great idea. Which, it may be! Or may not. Please think about what your life will be like once things go back to “normal.” Will you have enough time each day to dedicate to a dog, based on the dog’s individual needs? If you are looking for a dog to socialize with kids, other dogs, etc., please do not submit an adoption application, as we do not recommend that for any dog. Nor do we recommend dog parks or dog daycare. Visit the resources section of our website for more info on those topics.
Please note that none of our foster homes have cats, so if you have a cat and are looking to adopt a dog, we can send you info for slow introductions which will require separating a dog from your cat for some time.
As for Daisy:
Daisy is approx. 7 years old and is a tiny thing, just under 40 lbs. And we can’t begin to tell you how incredibly sweet she is. Everyone who meets her falls in love with her perfect, happy disposition. Daisy is one of those dogs who seems to love everyone. She loves nothing more than to lounge at your feet and does well with the kids in her foster home. She has even met toddlers and was very gentle and sweet with them.
She is housebroken, is a perfect angel at the vet and when getting a bath and walks well on leash. Daisy is very well-behaved and doesn’t get into anything she shouldn’t. She sleeps in her dog bed at night and doesn’t make a peep – and she’s happy to sleep in if that’s your thing! Daisy loves, loves, loves car rides and is amazing in the car. She is so calm and relaxed and will just look out the window or lie down and take a nap.
Daisy is a low energy, low maintenance kind of dog. She does not require a ton of exercise or obedience training and when it comes to playing, she’ll play for a bit with her toys or chase the ball, but is mostly happy sunning herself and relaxing. She is one of the few fosters who can have plush toys, as she just gently carries them around the house. It is so adorable, she even has a stuffed teddy bear that she sleeps with!
Daisy would do best in a home in which she is not left alone for long periods of time. She really wants nothing more than to lounge around and be with her people. If you can provide Daisy with these simple things, you will be more than rewarded with an all-around sweet, gentle, wonderful companion. Please note that the first step in our process is the adoption application found on our website www.midatlanticbullybuddies.org. Daisy is spayed, microchipped and vaccinated.
