SPECIAL COVID NOTICE: We realize that many of you are home from work right now and adopting a dog seems like a great idea. Which, it may be! Or may not. Please think about what your life will be like once things go back to “normal.” Will you have enough time each day to dedicate to a dog, based on the dog’s individual needs? If you are looking for a dog to socialize with kids, other dogs, etc., please do not submit an adoption application, as we do not recommend that for any dog. Nor do we recommend dog parks or dog daycare. Visit the resources section of our website for more info on those topics.

Please note that none of our foster homes have children, so we have no idea how any of our dogs would do living in a home with kids and/or if they would enjoy it. None of our foster homes have cats either, so if you have a cat and are looking to adopt a dog, we can send you info for slow introductions which will require separating a dog from your cat for some time.

As for Neo:

While he may be ten years old, Neo still has plenty of pep in his step. In fact, he absolutely loves going for walks and is a perfect gentleman on leash. In our many years of rescue, it is rare to find a dog who can be easily (and enjoyably!) walked with just a regular flat collar, but Neo is that great on leash. Inside the house, he is content to lounge around and just hang out. And he loves a good romp in the backyard too! Neo’s foster mom has fostered a ton of dogs over the years and reports that Neo is one of the easiest dogs she’s fostered – and also one of her favorites! Everyone who meets Neo falls in love with his sweet old man face and his happy, friendly disposition. And if you are looking for a snuggle buddy then look no further – Neo’s favorite thing to do is snuggle!

Neo lived in a home for many years, but sadly, his elderly owner passed away. With nowhere else to go, Neo ended up at a shelter. A shelter is certainly no place for any dog, much less a sweet senior guy like Neo, so we took him into our rescue. Seeing him relax and live life the way any senior should – in a quiet, stress-free atmosphere, with a warm, soft bed and loving foster parents to hang out with absolutely warms our hearts. Now the only other thing he needs is his very own home to live out his final years.

Neo is housebroken and also well behaved in the house. He does not get into anything he shouldn’t and is not crated when his foster mom leaves the house. He is perfectly content to snooze in his dog bed when he’s home alone.

Please note that the first step in our process is the adoption application found on our website www.midatlanticbullybuddies.org. Neo is neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. His adoption fee has been waived and is sponsored by a very generous donor.

If you are interested in giving Neo a forever home, please visit our website to submit our adoption application, www.midatlanticbullybuddies.org. Neo is neutered, microchipped and vaccinated.
